When we first started ‘Beans’, the idea was to do a simple black and white strip, with no bells or whistles. You know, the type you see all the time: two-dimensional, with lots of talking heads.
With Steve on board, the strip’s scope broadened; we ended up with a more complex, three-dimensional strip. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s a crazy amount of work.
For gits and shiggles, we put together a Special Edition strip in the originally-intended style. It’s grittier, but it has its own special charm. We hope that, even though it’s completely different, you will enjoy it.
